We and our friendly Labrador dog enjoy sharing our comfortable home and local knowledge of the area. We enjoy the chance to meet new people, New Zealanders and Overseas. Okuru Beach gives you the opportunity to stay in a unique part of our country where time moves slowly. Enjoy the costal beaches with interesting driftwood and shells. A 5 minute drive to a pleasant bush walk to see native birds, walk among the rain forest and learn about catching whitebait and their breeding area. A 1/2 hour drive to Jackson's Bay and a walk along the rocks to see Fiordland Crested Penguins in the season and find out about the history of the area.

Our interests are handcrafts, photography, fishing, coin collecting and tramping. West Coast style dinner available by arrangement $25 per person. Off street parking available.
