Heron Heights Homestay Accommodation is situated on the Pacific Highway, 50 kms from Thames and 1½ hours from Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga. It overlooks the beautiful Tairua Harbour, but has a country-like atmosphere. Grey herons frequent the grounds most of the year.
Our self-contained accommodation is set in two acres of award winning garden with fantastic views of the harbour, Mt Paku and the estuary. This accommodation is completely separate from the main house with idyllic tranquil setting both peaceful and private.

The unit has queen and single beds, is tastefully furnished, dining area inside and on the north facing covered patio, T.V. with teletext, DVD, stereo, heater & electric blanket, barbeque facilities, fresh fruit & flowers in unit. Kitchen with microwave oven, fridge etc. Extensive wine selection in unit, Off street parking. Two patios. Own ensuite. Continental breakfast is included in the tariff. Laundry facilities available. Home cooked meals available by arrangement.

Your hosts Brian and Linda Hart are New Zealanders' who have travelled extensively and enjoy meeting overseas guests. Brian is a local builder, keen fisherman and diver, and a volunteer Fire Officer. |

Linda is a Registered Nurse and avid gardener and welcomes guests to walk around the grounds and pick the fresh fruit and vegetables from the potager garden and to take time out to stop and smell the 600 odd old roses. Visit anywhere on the Coromandel Peninsula for the day and return to stay. Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove, Whitianga, Coromandel Town, Thames etc. Tairua has an 18 hole golf course, tennis courts, lawn bowls and miles of beautiful coastline. |
